As we make our way back to a sense of normal, remember that the church is made up of the people and not the building. Though worship may not look the same as it has, we are still able to do God’s work together.
Here at First Baptist, we are a small but dynamic congregation with the intention to do God’s work in our community. Some of our ministries include:
For several years, we have been holding a tutoring and STEAM program on Tuesday evening’s for children in grades K-6. The program is run by local teachers and is focused on helping children be excited about learning and do their best.
Every month, we hold a free dinner for the community on the second Friday at 6 PM. Call 908-753-2382 ext. 305 for the current menu and more information.
Throughout the year, we hold a variety of events for the community that include educational, holiday or Bible based programs. Such programs we have held in the past are: holiday light show, Easter and fall celebrations, programs to support individuals and more. Be sure to check back regularly for any new programs.
In addition to programs we hold, the church also hosts a children’s clothing room that is distributed to children in foster care. We also have a Little Free Library and Children’s Community Garden on the side of the church. Several community groups also use the church for their meetings.
